Kingston rezoning draft to prohibit new short-term rentals (STR's)

The city of Kingston has adopted a new legislation to regulate short-term rentals which can be found -here-. The second draft of a proposed Kingston zoning plan would ban on MOST Short Term Rentals (STRs) this includes Airbnb, and VRBO.

STRs are an integral part of what this community has evolved into. STRs contribute economically, creatively, and to our community's overall energy and livelihood. In 2019, it is estimated that spending by Airbnb guests in Ulster County directly supported 817 jobs.
