WHERE:
North Front Street, Kingston, NY 12401 between Wall and Crown Streets
On Saturday October 5th 2019 from 11am – 9:00pm the Kingston Uptown businesses will be holding its second community driven street fair. North Front Street (between Crown and Wall Street) will be transformed into an Autumnal shopping themed block party with entertainment. Created by a dedicated group of neighborhood volunteers to promote a strong sense of community. The street event will bring the local Kingston community together. All the North Front Street merchants and businesses will showcase their shops and offer special refreshments and entertainment and much more. Food and drink will be available at our established North Front Street restaurants and bars. The Stockade Faire seeks to increase awareness of the attractiveness and viability of Uptown Kingston as a great place to live, work, shop, socialize and play.
The street vendors will be carefully curated “makers” of the Hudson Valley by James Anthony founder of Phoenicia Flea. Founded in Phoenicia, NY in 2014, Phoenicia Flea is a nomadic market of makers and merchants from the Catskills, Hudson Valley and beyond. Each month Phoenicia Flea comes together at inspiring locations throughout the northeast in celebration of community, culture, small business and local trade. Our vendors offer the very best in handcrafted food, drink, jewelry, apparel, accessories, apothecary, housewares, furnishings, curated vintage and more.
Music and Entertainment includes a Disco Lounge including beats by dynamic international DJ's and producers. Acts include Wolf + Lamb. Some wild extremes make up the whole that is Wolf + Lamb. Extrovert and introvert, three time cancer survivor and social saboteur – you’d expect no partnership could last for long. But for close to two decades, these differences have only sparked the seismic energies that Zev and Gadi bring to dance music and international DJ culture.
Never caring much for current convention, they play passionate music that moves hearts — not just feet. From their legendary Brooklyn corner known as the Marcy Hotel, to the founding of Crew Love and its family of artists and record labels, from the warm winters in electric Miami to the serene nature of upstate New York – it’s always been about the two of them enjoying life, learning to live with each other, and making friends and fans that become part of a growing family.
Tedd Patterson is house music royalty. He has headlined with the top DJs in the world; he has released music on the most respected labels in the industry; and he has played a pivotal role in the spread of house music across the globe. Tedd’s boldly creative sets at the Magic Sessions (Miami WMC) inspired, conferring on him legendary status alongside Tony Humphries and Louie Vega. Tedd’s work in A&R and Promotion at Emotive Records during the heyday of New York dance music expanded his musical talents beyond the DJ booth and eventually led to his production debut. Tedd's collaborations with heavyweights Eric Kupper, Pete Heller, and Chus & Ceballos followed soon after. His edits of Black Science Orchestra, Alicia Keyes, and Bjork, have gained cult status in the house underground. His new single “X-Tension” on Launch Entertainment and his edit of “VR Tribute” by Louie Vega have already received wide acclaim.
Noted local and New York artist include Sensay Shnay, A Rock, DJ Hawx, DJ Optimistt and Tinkerism.
